There are many exciting new features and enhancements in this release, but the primary emphasis has been on usability improvements.
Opt-In for Product Emails
All product emails, including release announcements, will now be sent only to AMP users who have opted in to receive the email. For customers who are hosted by SSB, you must opt in before the next release if you wish to continue receiving release announcements and other product-related emails. To opt-in, go to your preferences in AMP and select the “Email Preferences” option. Select the checkbox and Make it Happen. If you later wish to unsubscribe, simple deselect that checkbox.
If you host your own AMP instance and wish to continue receiving these emails, email AMP support at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. We will add you to the list.
AMP for Mobile Update
A new version of AMP for Mobile is now available, providing support for Android 2.1.x and iOS 9.0.3. Additionally, a new rule has been added to check for suitable accessible text on widgets. If you are upgrading your version of Android Studio or iOS or Xcode, make sure to download the latest version of AMP for Mobile from the AMP Toolbox.
Search Widget Improvements
A number of enhancements have been made to the new Search widget released in our last AMP release. There is now paging on the search results, so users can navigate through all of the results. Additional filters have also been added to each of the search tabs to make it easier for users to find specific organizations, projects and reports.
Updated Test Creation Wizard
The test creation wizard has been simplified to make test creation easier. Unnecessary fields and pages have been removed from the wizard, streamlining it to one page of required fields. Advanced configuration options are collapsed by default, but still available.
Easier Creation of Globals and Patterns
It’s now easier to create globals and patterns. When navigating through the violation instances and module instances reports, users can now select a “Create Global” or “Create Pattern” option from the action menu on any instance. The instance details will automatically be populated in the Global or Pattern form, so the user only needs to specify the name of the global or pattern and the modules to which the pattern applies.
We thank you for your continued partnership with SSB BART Group, and as always, if you have any questions, concerns or feedback please reach out to us at email@example.com.
